molten lava...

New recipe!

You know those amazing lava cakes you get at shmancy restaurants? I've always wanted to try to make one. Most recipes I've found look a little daunting, with a billion steps and odd ingredients.

Then I found this recipe: Molten Chocolate Cakes on my favorite recipe site.

These cakes were super simple to throw together, the only time consuming part was melting the chocolate & butter in a double boiler (which of course I don't own, so I improvised)

Then you add your sugar, egg and flour and pop in the fridge. Well, pour into the muffin tins and then pop in the fridge.

Bake at 450* for 8-10 minutes (or until the tops crack, mine took 11 mins) and serve warm, preferably with ice cream...Yum!

I got out of my chef stage and cooking dinner had become a chore for a while, but I'm back in the swing of things and can't wait to try some more recipes.

I told J that I wanted to make new recipes for a whole month.

It won't be difficult to find a bunch of new recipes - but it might be hard to give up all my favs for an entire month! Can I commit?!
